About DeerDAT

DeerDAT™ makes it simple to Track, Report, and Predict a specific animal or group of animals by uploading your trail camera images or videos. It does not matter what brand of trail camera you have, DeerDAT will work with low end to high end trail cameras. DeerDAT helps you hunt smarter and manage your Food Plots, Game, and Hunting Club. It's DAT Simple...

Create a Camera/Blind

Either in the field or at your desktop, DeerDAT makes it simple to mark your camera and bline location. Use your GPS on your mobile device, search for an address, or just type in the latitude and longitude. You can even zoom in and drag and drop the camera marker to the exact location.

After the camera or blind is created, you can see real-time weather information. Just login into your account and you will see the temperature, pressure, and more of each camera. You can even text or call to retrieve weather information.

It's DAT Simple...

Upload and Tag

When you upload your image or video to a created camera, DeerDAT pulls the weather data for that camera location. Photos and videos with a time stamp will receive details such as the wind data, weather conditions, temperature, barometric pressure, and more. Along with the sunrise, sunset, and moon phase for the day. If your camera doesn't capture this information, DeerDAT will get it for you.

It doesn't even matter the age of your photos or videos. If they have a timestamp DeerDAT will supply the data. If the photos or videos do not have a timestamp, No Problem. DeerDAT lets you add and adjust a timestamp after uploading.

You can Tag you images and videos using one or more of the 1,000+ public Tag or create your own. Tags can be as generic as "deer" or specific as "Billy Bob Buck". These Tags can be used for reports or forecasts.

Reports and Forecasts

After you created a camera, uploaded and tagged images or videos to it, you are now ready to start tracking.

Using a selected tag and one or more cameras, DeerDAT will create a detail Activity Report. The report will include history, moon phases, pressure, time of day, wind directions, wind speed, and more.

There is even a Notes feature. This feature helps you see if sighting are effected on a certain event, such as planting a food plot, putting out minerals or feed, and mowing.

With the Forecast, DeerDAT will compare your cameras and photo data to a forecast date and create a zero (0) to five (5) rating of possible chance of a sighting and pressure on an hourly basis. You can even forecast up to 7 day.

There is also a Rutcast report. DeerDAT will use your images and certain tags to estimate the time when the fawn was conceived.

Blind Reserve

Have a hunting club or just hunt with friends and family? DeerDAT makes it simple to see who's in what blind/stand. Just login and go to blind check. There you can see the blind/stand weather information or a calendar with what blind/stand is in use or reserved and how long.

Reserving the blind/stand is done by a simple click. Just select the blind/stand, how long you will be there (Morning, Evening, or All Day), and click Reserve.

FAQs

Am I locked into a contract?

No, DeerDAT charges on a monthly basis and you can deactivate your account at any time. You can also re-activate it at any time and keep previous camera information.

Public Tags vs. Private Tags

Private Tags are tags you created and assign to an image or video. An example of a private tag would be "Billy Bob Buck".

Public Tags are preset tags in the system. An example of a public tag would be "White-tailed Deer".

Can I export the report data?

Exporting data will depend on which Plan Type you are on/using. You will be able to export the data used to create the reports. You have the option to export as a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) or a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) file.

Can there be more than one login?

Yes, DeerDAT allows you to have multiple usrs with differnt access levels. This is useful if you have a hunting club and you wish members to see images, reports, and other data, but do not want everyone to upload and edit data.

There are two types of login levels, Admins and Members.

Admins
Admins are users how will have full access to upload and tag images/videos, add and edit users, create and edit reports, edit account information, and other administration tasks.

Members
Members are users who will only have the ability to view and can not upload, update, or create. They are view only.

Is there mobile/phone app?

There is not a mobile/phone app at this time. There is a plan for a mobile/phone app in the near future. You are able to text and call to retrieve weather information of a camera.
